THERE will be an automatic weather station placed at Jah Mountain in Gizo Town next month.

According to the Western Province Deputy Premier and Minister of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification Hon Maloney Lopoto, the new set up is purposely to provide information direct through mobile phones.

“Information’s in relation to weather issues, the water capacity underground in Gizo, the weather patterns and also the quality of soil,” said the Deputy Premier.

The Deputy Premier mentioned this new set up when he was asked during the Full Assembly meeting by the MPA for Ward 16 Hon. Ramrakha Talasasa Jnr of what the current progress was on the water supply development initiatives pursued by his Division.
