AN international travel writer from the United Kingdom is in the country and will stay for nine days.
The international travel writer, Mr Julian Ryall is here under arrangements with the Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau.
In an interview with this paper during his arrival at the Henderson International Airport yesterday, he expressed his excitement in visiting the country.
“Delighted, delighted to be here and thank the organisations who have made it possible for me to be here in this great destination.
“Now it’s up to me to get as many stories I can to promote Solomon Islands and all the things people can do.
“When I came here the focus is on what people needs to know about some of the require hotels here, diving opportunity, cultural events, beautiful islands and many more.
“The ideal is really genuinely better represented and really deserve for better known,” Mr Ryall said.
He said as part of his short visit he will be visiting parts of Western Province as he’s looking forward to experience many things and meeting people who are important to the industry here.
“I’ll be exploring many things and by witnessing them with my own eyes I will tell people about them.”
“And when I can go back I can write stories to different parts in the Asia Pacific to help them know about Solomon Islands and to come here.
“A great destination, this is actually the purpose of my coming and this is what I will do,” Mr Ryall said.
Mr Ryall writes for the world-famous Daily Telegraph newspaper in London, prestigious Hong Kong based South China Morning Post and the biggest travel industry publication in Asia, the Travel Trade Gazette.
