THE annual Solo Icon competition is set to start off its elimination round-one at the Art Gallery on June 11.

In this year’s event, a good number of promising singers from both the Icon and Young Executive category are participating after passing auditions held at the SIBC.

Solo Icon Coordinator, Mr Geoffrey Alacky said Solo Icon this year will be competing under a theme: “Sustainable Peace – Tagio RAMSI”.

Last year, Vevo Gina was the winner in the Icon category while Keith Wairia grabbed the Young Executive.

It is likely they will perform during the opening.
