Marist too good for Honiara select

James Egeta clears the ball away from Dennis Ifunaowa during their friendly match yesterday. Marist won the friend test by 3-0
MARIST FC yesterday ousted the brilliant Honiara select side by three goals to nil.
The O-League side who wants to keep their fans on a positive mood proving themselves to keep the hope among their fans as they did it.
It also went well according to Juliano’s expectation, as collecting a win is his total hope for the match yesterday.
His boys made it in the first 20 minutes when Abraham Iniga registered the opening goal.
The Honiara Select Side led by Dennis Ifunaowa, searching for retaliation shortly after their one goal down, but found it difficult.
Both sides continue to put up brilliant performances searching for who to place the ball at the back of the net to make the second goal for the match.
But it never went easy for them as both of them failed to give away success for either side.
More threats on the defence line of Honiara select side as the goal scorer, Abraham Iniga and his two companions Tuti Zama and Guilherme Soares making it enough to extend the lead.
However, it all went unmistaken for Haddis Aengari and Chris Tafoa at the back for Honiara Side, as they continue to keep on the hope for their boys.
Juliano who never took seat and eager to stand on the side of the field to keep encouraging his boys, seems by keep his boys organised all times.
Perhaps, it came after a scrumble over the ball in the six-yard of Honiara’s side when Iniga wasted no time to score his second goal for his side.
The scoreline was 2-0 in-favour of Marist before the referee blew the whistle for the end of the first stanza.
After the break, the two teams back in action and there are changes experienced as more attack received by Marist defenders.
The Honiara side knew that they only left with a stanza to do what they can as their ultimate hope is to cause an upset for the O-League side.
Ifunaowa leading his boys in the front, continue to cause threats but nothing went easy for them despite their efforts.
Marist knew they need to pull more goals before the final whistle. And they did it when Iniga scored his third goal to make it three for Marist.
The score line remained as it was until the final whistle where Marist won the match by 3-0.
