KURUKURU and Marist Futsal clubs’ team captain Elliot Ragomo will leave the country today for futsal trails in Brazil.

Ragomo will travel to Perth, Australia before making his way to Brazil where it is hoped he will make an impression there.

“This trip was made possible through painstaking hard work by many including Solomon Breweries Limited and the company’s Drink responsibly Ambassador Sponsorship of Elliot,” Marist FCs’ Yoshi Sato said.

“Elliot ‘Lilo’ Ragomo will leave Solomon Islands tomorrow and head for Minas Tenis Clube in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

“Elliot will firstly fly to Perth, Australia to make a guest appearance at an annual futsal tournament organized by Solomon Islanders living in Australia.

“Elliot will train with Minas Tenis Clube for six months during which time Marist FC Management hope that Elliot will be able to impress the Club for a trial spot,” Mr Sato adds.

This trip is the first ever agreement made between Solomon Islands futsal club Marist and the Brazil Professional Club.

Minas Tenis Clube plays in the Brazilian National Futsal Club League. It is also the same Club Elliot and George Stevenson trained with for six weeks prior to meeting up with Team KuruKuru for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia.
