JAPANESE volunteers who signed up to undertake voluntary work in Solomon Islands under the Japanese International Cooperation Association will put on a show at St Nicholas and Burn Creek School on January 21 and 24.

The event is proudly sponsored by Our Telekom in collaboration with JICA office here in Honiara.

One of the volunteers Mr Nishiyama Yusuke said the shows will be presented in different subjects and skills which include; Science Show, Bibliobattle and Physical education (Dance).

He said each action will be presented by a different volunteer on their respective expertise.

Mr Yusuke said the programme was made possible through cooperation between the volunteers and supported by Our Telekom.

He said the show will unfold some amazing and attractive science experiments for the people on the stage and at the same time attract students to create interest in Science.

Mr Yusuke said the science show is aimed at improving the progress of science education level in the country.

“This is good for Solomon Islands to improve and progress science education level because if children are interested in science and study more, they have more knowledge to make high quality products by experiments and research,” he explained.

Mr Yusuke said other shows have similar intentions and that students and adult interested to attend the show are welcomed.

He said the first show will be on this Saturday at St Nicholas School.

Mr Yusuke said the show will kick off around 9am and ends around 1pm in the afternoon.

He said everyone interested are welcomed to the show.
