Honiara Golf Club Championship continues weekend

THE 2017 Honiara Golf Club championship will continue this weekend at the golf course at Ranadi.

The championship reached round two yesterday after kicking off on Saturday. Winners are expected to be announced on Sunday when the championship concludes.

Last year’s winners George Rukabo and Janet Siru are also back again this year to defend their titles.

“Tee off times are from 7am on Saturday and Sunday and progress through to the afternoon,” HGC President Peter Huges said in a recent statement.

“The championship this year is again proudly sponsored by Panatina Plaza. Winners will receive prestigious trophies to acknowledge their success,” he adds.

Panatina Plaza has been supporting golf in the Solomon Islands for many years and the president says they are very grateful for deciding to sponsor what is the biggest competition in the Solomon Islands golfing calendar.

The gold championship continues Saturday.
