MATCHES for the 2017 Solomon Islands Basketball Federation’s (SIBF) Tip-Off Challenge continues Sunday after mid-week match was forced to stop.
Mid-week match on Wednesday between Gunners and Bullets men’s basketball teams was forced to stop in the third quarter, after match officials called the game off due to lighting issues inside the renovated Multipurpose Hall, a statement from SIBF said.
“Officials had to call off the game after 3rd Quarter due to lights issues. Captains of both teams agreed on this. Final results Gunnerz 48 Bullets 14,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, four more matches are set for this Sunday at the Multi-Purpose Hall. First match for this weekend sees action from the women’s division between Lakers and D-Fenders at 12pm.
Second match for the day will see SOSSA taking on Marist at 1:30pm in the men’s division first match followed by Bullets and Raiders matching up at 3pm in the men’s second game for the day.
The final match for the day kicks off at 4pm as Pinoy takes on Crusaders at Multipurpose Hall.
SIBF is calling on all teams to take note and be on time for their respective games this Sunday April 30.
Entrance fee for this Sunday’s Tip-Off challenge is $2 for players and children while $5 for adults.
