Shipment of medical supplies and equipment for NRH

Dear Editor

IN terms of the recently signed MOU between the Solomon Islands MOHMS and ‘Take My Hands’ Charity Trust in New Zealand, I can announce that the first two containers of donated medical supplies and equipment for the NRH are expected to be shipped to Honiara from New Zealand on 31 October.

The MOU provides for up to 10 twenty foot containers of supplies and equipment for the MOHMS per year.

In addition, as previously reported, ‘Take My Hands’ will also ship one or more 20 foot containers for local NGO’s as soon as the organization has been able to collect sufficient donated items of mobility equipment, beds, second-hand office furniture and clothing for the several local NGO’s, including the Hearts of Hope Charity.

Take My Hands Charity Trust also supplies donated medical equipment to regional countries including Nepal and Fiji and, last year for the very first time, following an appeal, shipped nearly 150 hospital beds and mattresses to the NRH with funds kindly donated by the SFA.

The next container for local NGO’s will also be freighted using additional money donated by the SFA last year.

Yours sincerely
