Human resource development a challenge
‘Govt still determined to upskill human resources’
THE Government is working hard on human resource development and admits it is a very challenging action in terms of its ambitious policy.
The Prime Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare stated this is his Sine Die speech in Parliament last week.
According to the Prime Minister the country is producing human resources at the rate of 2.3 percent which he added is equivalent to a good number of classrooms built every year.
Yet the country is still unable to cope with the rising rate and demand.
“The emphasis of our development partners is at the lower education level but we must not forget the higher echelon of our people.
“We need to continue to push them to achieve higher academic qualifications.
“It is something that the Government is also putting emphasis on,” the Prime Minister said.
