DIESEL service rugby team suffered a humiliating 78-0 defeat over the weekend as they were run over by the Henderson Hammerhead Sharks.

Still tasting chunks from their 29-8 win over Matangiki, sharks showed no mercy for the new look Diesel side who have recruited some youngsters from the SIRUF Sol- Tuna High Schools 15s league to their squad.

Diesel struggled to contain the big HHH forwards and had no answers for the pace of their wingers and full backs as they succumbed to another humiliating loss at the Panatina rugby oval.

“Big thanks to the young and determined Diesel side.Big score margin but thumps up to you boys. To all who come to today’s HRUA Low Price 15s comp, a big thank you,” a statement from HHH said.

That win for Hammerheads sees them bagging their second win in the competition and will look to make it three in a row when they come up against Islanders on May 6.

Diesel services on the other hand will look to improve from this result when they take on Matangiki on May 11.

The 2017 Low Price HRUA rugby 15s competition meanwhile will take a one week’s break for the Easter period.

Matches will resume on Wednesday April 26 with game 13 as competition defending champions Avaiki takes on Realas.

Game 14 takes place on April 27 as Matangiki takes on Islanders.
