Cocoa export improving

THE country’s cocoa export have blossomed over the past four years and is contributing well to the country’s economy. Chief Inspector of Commodities Export and Marketing Authority Mr Patteson Siliota said cocoa is the third major export commodity in Solomon Islands. Increased commercial fishing licence feared to affect businesses

SOLOMON Islands Tobacco Company (SITCO) has publicly encouraged strong action against importation and sale of illicit tobacco. Malaria cut by 47 percent in SI

MALARIA incidence in Solomon Islands has been reduced by 47 percent, it is reported. The World Health Organisation Medical Officer in Solomon Islands, Dr Ros Seyha said the country has shown impressive progress against Malaria in reducing it by 47 percent between 2010 and 2015. Anuka’s case adjourned to April 28

CASE against Stephen Anuka will appear again in court on April 28 for mention. The accused was sentenced and remanded in custody for offences he pleaded guilty to. CLOSE to forty local cocoa farmers were instructed on the procedures to obtaining cocoa export licence.
