Woman facing fraud charges to appear next year

SINCE the court is on vacation and due to the festive session, an accused is excused from appearing in court.

Yesterday the case against a former employee of Heritage Park Hotel was mentioned, and due to the trial date being already set for June next year, the case was generally adjourned for May 18, 2017.

Principal Magistrate Jim Seuika said the accused will be excused from her appearances till May 18.

Meanwhile, John Zoze of the Office of the Director Public Prosecution said there was no issue to raise as trial dates were already set.

This is in relation to the case against Natalie Keni who is facing a charge of uttering on which police alleged she uttered some documents involving more than $100,000 from the Heritage Park hotel.

On her previous appearance she entered a not-guilty plea and a trial was set.
