A total of 25 local bands which includes 25 local bands, choirs, youth groups and traditional dancing groups are ready to rock Honiara this Christmas and New Year.

Entertainment will take place at the Art Gallery on the 24th, 25th and 26th of December and in New Year from the 31st, 1st and 2nd of January from 2pm to late 7.30pm.

The special entertainment is proudly organised by Top Timber Company Limited.

Mr Henry Star Dora who is a member of the organising committee confirms that 25 local bands, which also includes, choirs, free style, hip-pop dancing groups have confirmed and booked to participate in both the Christmas Music Concert.

He says that the concert is organised to give an opportunity for those who are unable to enjoy their Christmas at their respective homes mark and celebrate the Christmas and New Year festive seasons here in Honiara

“It will be the first time for such a musical concert is organise for Honiara residents on Christmas eve and Christmas day significantly for those who will be celebrating their Christmas in the city and especially those who may not have anything to do after prayer and food to come and be part of this Christmas music concert and be part of the Christmas celebration.

“It will be a marvellous, incredible fascinating musical showdown by our very own local musicians and if you have nothing to do that very day, then come to the Art Gallery arena to be part of this Christmas music festivities,” Mr Dora says.

He adds that special Christmas gifts will also be part of the Christmas celebrations.

Mr Dora says these festive historical dates and events are very important in our annual calendar and are being celebrated worldwide by Christians and non-Christians alike and that the Organisers are very grateful to organise the events to celebrate and be part of the Christmas and New Year festivities.
