A delegation from SIPA welcomed the arrival of MV Kota Hapas at the Point Cruz International Wharf yesterday.

The delegation consisted of SIPA CEO and some of his top comrades as they presented gifts of appreciation to the shipmaster and to Mr Jebs Benito from EFM.

The CEO, Mr Eranda Kotelawala thanked the ship master, Mr Dragoslav Milinovi and his crews for their important visit and assured cooperation with the shipping lines.

The vessel berthed at the Point Cruz Wharf yesterday marking her first voyage to the country, after leaving Lae (PNG) some time ago.

MV Kota Hapas left the country late yesterday for other countries in the South Pacific.

With the arrival of the Kota Hapas into Honiara, the Pacific International Lines (PIL) confirmed their intention to improve their shipping products in the region.

Under the South Pacific Service, PIL will operate three vessels in the trade that will provide a direct link with Chaina, Hong Kong and the regional ports of Lae, Honiara, Noumea, Lautoka, Suva and Majuro.

The trip will be to provide an unprecedented transit time to these markets.

Represented in the Solomon Islands by Express Freight Management (EFM), both PIL and EFM look forward to provide premium service to the Honiara market and exploring opportunities for export cargos to the world.

However, out of three vessels own by PIL engaged in South Pacific Service, there are more than 120 vessels the company has.
