FUTSAL School of Excellence set to be revived

FUTSAL coaches in Honiara are working on reviving the Honiara Junior Futsal School of Excellence (HJFSE) this year targeting the age range from 10 year to 14 year old.

After three-year throw back of Futsal School in the country, a plan to revive the country’s popular sport is set for this year by the coaches who had administered the Honiara Junior Futsal School of Excellence— good news for futsal lovers.

Coach for HJFSE, Mr George Capps in a walk-in interview yesterday said Futsal School will be on again this year after its down fall three years ago which imposed negative impact for Futsal development in Solomon Islands.

Since the die out of the School of Excellence program, it had affected futsal development in the country, and the idea to revive the program is important for nurturing players’ especially upcoming futsal lovers, Mr Capps said.

“The importance of reviving Futsal School of excellence is evident for educate players at early age in its cognitive to developing playing skills and knowledge,” Mr Capps said.

Mr Capps is urging coaches in and around Honiara City and its community’s outskirts to encourage interested players to attend School of Excellence which will start anytime from next month.

“We have set a meeting for end of this month at the multipurpose hall, and every futsal coaches is asks to attends this important discussion for their inputs on the matter,” Coach Capp said.

The School of Excellence is open for age range between 10 years and 14 years to players within Honiara City and Guadalcanal province.
