Fa’arodo honoured to wear arm band again   SOLOMON Islands men’s soccer team Captain Henry Fa’arodo says spirit is high in their camp as they prepare for the third stage of the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers next month. Solomon Islands will play Tahiti on November 7 in the away leg and will host them here in Honiara on November 13 in the return leg. SIX contestants for Miss Solomon Islands Pageant traversed the street of Honiara in a boisterous float yesterday, with public enjoying the privilege to see the queens in their colourful attires. 26 RTC managers receive New Zealand qualification

TWENTY six Rural Training Centre (RTC) staffs representing eight RTCs have been accredited with New Zealand qualification yesterday after completing a series of training under the Strengthening Technical and Agriculture Rural Training (START) Leadership and Management programme. Dengue touches down at Isabel province

ISABEL Province is under threat as its first dengue case is reported this week. Senior Nurse of Buala Mini-hospital Mr Martin Gavira said the first dengue case was reported on October 24. He said the patient was tested positive for Dengue but Buala Hospital is not aware of the type of virus that is said to be circulating in Isabel province.
