Nagua beat J-Star United FC

NAGUA FC beat J-Star United 5-3 in the second match of the 2017 Western Premier League tournament at the JFK stadium in Gizo.

Obed for Nagua FC scored the second goal within 25 minutes of the first half.

Rolland Nono of J-Star United replied before half time to make the score 2-1.

Despite having a number of chances early in the first half of the game Martin Rence of J-star fail to score the penalty shoot out to equalise the score before the final whistle of the first half ended.

The score still remain 2-1 in the first half of the full time.

However, second half kickoff with high not, the score still remain as Nagua secure their side before the full time match ended, Nagua FC young midfield Rickason Luito scored the third goal for Nagua FC 3-1.

Willie Gima for Nagua FC scored the fourth goal and Obed who record the final score that secure Nagua with 5-1.

The game still continue as J-Star young player Paul Pitu find the net from the penalty area within 35 minutes after the full time of the game ended.

Both teams have happy with the result and show the good spirit of sportsmanship during the game as everyone enjoyed their game peacefully.

J-Star team Captain said he is happy with his boy’s performance especially young players from rural area who expose themselves and to experience different environment of field.

“We are all happy with this final result and will continue to maintain more efforts with ball work and ball handling in our next game”, J-Star team captain said.

He said his boys need to settle down and focus more in their next game with Real Lite this coming Saturday.

Meanwhile, Western Warriors FC and Gizo base Gossa FC will meet 4pm this afternoon at the JF Kennedy Stadium for the third 2017 Western Premier League.
