Water awareness this week
AWARENESS will be carried out this week in Gizo on the impacts of climate change on the island’s water resources.
Eco-Solutions Solomon Islands (ESSI) has taken a project from UNDP under SIWSAP in which the component of the project is to do awareness on five priority areas in how to look after water.
The awareness will be carried out for the whole of this week for communities youth representatives around Gizo Town so that they will carry out awareness trainings within their communities on the five priority areas.
Some of the five priority areas this week’s awareness will be focusing on are Climate Change, Conserving Water and Sanitation and Hygiene.
Water is very important and is a very scarce resource on Gizo Island and its provincial town.
