New staff house for WP Gov’t

WESTERN Provincial Government (WPG) marked another milestone in their development endeavours after the completion of a new Staff House in Gizo Town.
The new Staff House is completed under the PCDF funded projects of the province that is worth SBD$772, 252.00 dollars.
Western Province Premier Hon Wayne Maepioh during his speech at the official opening of the new Staff House said that the 3-bedroom house will surely ease WPG’s efforts to address housing and rental concerns for its Staff both in Gizo and out-stations.
He acknowledged SIG through MPGIS under the PGSP for supporting the development ambitions of WPG.
“I am pleased that the PCDF projects spur are on development and service delivery for the socio-economic livelihood of our people, thereby supporting my government’s comprehensive approach in integrating policy objectives and development aspirations to ensuring expected outcomes of the various sectors are accomplished,” said the Premier.
The Honourable Premier on his closing remarks thanked the Planning and Works Division, Silawa Building Construction and Joinery, stakeholders and others he forgot to acknowledge for their contribution to the completion of the project.
He urged Staff Officers who will be allocated to the new Staff House to consider themselves as fortunate to take ownership of it, have respect and make it conducive as their own home during their time serving the province and its people.
