ENGLISH language lessons is top on the list for Marist football players.
It is back to the classroom for the boys, a programme that started last week and will continue to roll throughout the year.
Head Coach of Marist Football Club, Mr Juliano Schmeling said the idea of introducing this English class is to improve communication between players, trainers and coaches.
He said, as this programme came in place, “I see it will be helpful for working together of my boys to well understand each other as we go along.”
Mr Schmeling said not only that but as English is a common language it’s better for the boys to be familiar with it.
“Because as they build on their carrier they will not only play in Solomon Islands, they will join other clubs in other countries or represent the country to other countries.
“So it’s very important for them to be familiar with English to make communication easy for them.
“Additionally, as the club is currently preparing for the upcoming O-League, we are very much needed to build better communications, so that we can well inform on our programmes,” he said.
Mr Schmeling recommended that this idea is important for all players so they can develop good communication among them.
