JK Mabuzu community-based Trade training centre has successfully staged its fifth annual graduation ceremony yesterday at Voruki Village, West Gizo, in Western Province.

The graduation ceremony was a colourful parade where parents, official guest of honour Robert Rigeo and former JK Mabuzu students gathered to witness the school annual graduation.

The highlight theme for this year’s JK Mabusu graduation ceremony is ‘Nothing without God’.

More than 40 students from different trades in plumbing, carpentry and national trade test certificate in basic level and intermediate received their certificates for successfully completing their studies at the JK Mambuzu Training Centre.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony school principal Kesipio Gheuna said JK Mabusu has achieved another milestone of achievement.

“The school experiences a lot of challenges throughout the past years but we want to acknowledge our God for his guidance and protection in our school.

“We registered more than fifty students each year since the school established but due to financial support some of our students have left us and they didn’t manage to complete their studies.

“Therefore parent and guardians, it is our duty to support and encourage our children to develop them in their studies. This school aim to provide quality education for rural people and drop outs to engage them with trade activities.

“Students, today you will be leaving this school but remembers, continue to invest the goodness you received from JK Mabusu and Carrie out the good work to help your family, community and Nation as a whole.

“This school has vision and goals for our children, therefore parent we need your support to develop this school and JK Mabusu has continued to provide basic education especially our youths and others who interested to join this school.

He urges parents and guardians to continue to support their children and encourage them to attend vocational schools to develop their skills and knowledge.

Western Provincial Education Authority officer Robert Rigeo said “this graduation is not an end if our education system but to see the success of your completion of your studies and what you have learn here at Mabuzu”.
