High Commissioner Brazier visits Gizo Market

GIZO market venders will soon have their market house redeveloped which would be funded by the Australian government.
The Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, His Excellency Roderick Brazier visited Gizo market and the people of Western Province yesterday.
The High Commissioner during his visit met with venders from different Islands, who shared their views regarding the situation affecting them at the market.
He was accompanied by Western Province Premier Hon Wayne Maepio, Deputy Premier and Western provincial government officers during the brief visit.
Hon Wayne Maepio introduced His Excellency Roderick Brazier to all the market venders and then he introduced the new redevelopment project to the people.
“We will soon have our new market house, funded by the Australian Government worth SBD$ 18 Million Solomon dollar.”
“I would like to thank the Australian government for the support to redevelop our market house,” said Maepio.
However, he said the concept design of the first phase of the project will be displayed today at the market place so venders can see the new look of the market house.
The Australian High Commissioner was happy to meet venders at the Gizo market.
