Govt takes serious note of issues raised in Parliament

THE Government has strongly indicated that they have not lost focus or ignored issues both current and outstanding raised on the floor of Parliament during the sine die motion moved in Parliament last week by Prime Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare.

Prime Minister Sogavare made the statement when delivering his wind up statement on the sine die motion he moved to have Parliament stand adjourned sine die.

“The motion attracted a lively debate and it has always been the case the sine die motion provides Members of Parliament to provide a wide range of issues to Parliament,” the Prime Minister said.

Issues raised by all backbenchers and Opposition Members of Parliament were dully noted according to the Prime Minister and a Cucus paper would be prepared as a way of doing justice to all the points of concern raised on the floor of Parliament.

The Prime Minister assured Parliament that such would be done and the Government takes serious note of the issues raised.

He then affirmed that when it goes before Caucus, they would give one to one attention and interaction with Ministers through that forum to go through issues of direct relevance.

He then commended all Members of Parliament for participating in the lively debate on the motion as a good number of issues were raised and were not overlooked.
