19 females among 35 newly graduated lawyers

IT was a great day for Solomon Islands when thirty-five new lawyers graduated at the USP Emalus Campus in Port Vila two weeks ago on December 2, 2016. What made the event more worthy is the fact that 19 or 54 percent of the graduates are females. Solomon’s Tourism industry ends third-quarter in positive mode
THE Tourism Industry in Solomon Islands closed off its third-quarter in positive mode with international visitor arrivals showing a concrete 4.5 percent increase over the equivalent period in 2015. Solomon Islands National Statistics Office released its official figures recently stating a total of 16,381 visitors arrived across January- September, which is an increase of 706 more than 15,675 figure achieved last year. SIRCS recruit more volunteers for battle against dengue
SOLOMON Islands Red Cross Society (SIRCS) now has around 75 volunteers that are engaged in the three months (November, December and January) dengue outbreak response programme. TIARO Primary School in West Guadalcanal has marked a historical end of the 2016 academic year.
