U-17 friendly today
THE country’s national under-17 boys’ soccer team will play their second friendly match today against visiting Arosi Kings FC at Lawson Tama.
Arosi Kings FC from Ward 5 in West Makira are here to help test the national U-17 team who are preparing for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) U-17 qualifiers in Tahiti February next year.
The two sides met on Tuesday for their first of three friendly matches and saw the national U-17 squad defeating the visitors 3-0 win.
The U17 national team fielded three separate teams in that game in order to pick out a starting 11 for today’s match.
The national U-17 squad will then be trimmed down for their final friendly match with A/Kings before jetting off for the qualifiers in Tahiti.
The national U-17 squad is currently in camp at the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Panatina Academy.
The final travelling squad will be finalized after these three friendly matches.
