SolTuna and NFD reiterate support on community engagements

TWO Noro-based leading corporate supporters of the Roviana Lagoon festival, SolTuna and National Fisheries Development (NFD) have reiterated their support towards community engagement.
SolTuna General Manager Jim Alexander said SolTuna has been helping the local community for years as well as other parts of the country.
He said many local industries are also sustained by the tuna industry and it is proud that it can continue supporting with community engagement.
NFD General Manager, Frank Wickham said NFD is proud to continue supporting and associated with the Lagoon festival ever since its start in 2009.
“To the people of Roviana, this is our festival to revive our traditional practice and share our talents, build unity and respect each other.
“This is why we in the tuna industry and other corporate partners want to give back to the community.
“We are looking forward to continue be your partner and to support this festival in the coming years, and I can say we your partners, and will here for you again.
Last week festival was attended by communities from Ughele, Buni, Nusa Roviana, kekeehe, Kindu, Dunde, and Rarumana.
