Search for lost boy called off
A Honiara search team looking for a boy from Malaita Province who went missing at Loimuni Village in Northwest Choiseul have not succeeded and are now heading back to the Capital.
The cause of the boy’s disappearance since May this year is a mystery according to Mr Nerio Ulemiki the media coordinator for Christ the King Parish at Voruvoru Northwest Choiseul but however, with response from the search team, it is believed that the boy was possessed.
“The team searching comprised of the boy’s parents, a Melanesian Brotherhood Tasiu, an Anglican Priest and a local Chief,” said Mr Ulemiki.
“As search for the boy did not succeed, the boy’s parents and their search team are now ready to board MV Nuatabu to return to Honiara,” he said.
During the month that the young boy went missing, the Provincial Police Commander (PPC) for Choiseul Province Superintendant Cedar Nevol said they sent out a message for the whole of the province to watch out for his whereabouts as they had already tried searching for him as well with no luck.
The victim is said to be visiting the son of his relative at Loimuni village when he went missing. Whatever the cause for his disappearance is still yet fully unknown.
