More sales outlets for newspapers needed in Western Province

WESTERN Province Deputy Premier Hon Maloney Lopoto said that there is a need for more newspaper sales outlets to be established in the province.

This is so that the whole province will have access in being well informed on information from news of the country and abroad.

Currently, only Munda station and Gizo Town are providing good effective service in selling newspapers in the province.

In Noro station, its Town Council Clerk Mr David Mamupio also raised his concern over this issue saying Noro station also needs newspaper outlets to keep its citizens updated on current affairs.

“During the past, there was a newspaper sales outlet in Noro but to this day there is none in which it takes a couple of days before we can access newspapers brought into the town by individuals,” said the NTC Clerk.
