Man pleads not guilty to murder charge
A man alleged to have been involved in a murder incident on January 14 this year has entered a not-guilty plea yesterday.
The accused, Liomauri, is charged with one count of murder.
After he was arraigned, the defence lawyer indicated a short form preliminary inquiry to be conducted on the case.
Public Prosecutor Olivia Ratu then sought an adjournment on the case to allow her to prepare all the documents for the committal hearing.
The prosecution alleged that the accused murdered a man in Honiara this year.
Meanwhile, prosecution also told the court that all disclosures were already served including the medical report, the photographs and the autopsy report.
Principal Magistrate Ricky Iomea then adjourned the case to May 3 for the committal hearing.
