HEALTH and Medical Authorities have mobilised plans in effort to contain the current dengue outbreak.

Under Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Medical Service Dr Chris Becha said officials from World Health Organisation, DFAT, Honiara City Council, National Referral Hospital and Guadalcanal Health and medical Authorities have met to discuss possible intervention for the dengue outbreak.

He said the officials also took time to review the previous datas and also new datas that have been collected this week.

Dr Becha said intervention has kicked off especially at the National Referral Hospital and community outreach programmes since the announcement of dengue outbreak was made last weekend.

He said the update on the latest dengue data will be release tomorrow (Friday).
