Gizo Mix 10 editing in final touches for launching tomorrow.

POPULAR Gizo island music video album is set to launch its 10th DVD tomorrow, Tuesday Jan 17, at Gizo in Western Province.

The tenth in its making, fans expect something different, said producer, Amos Ngodoro of Nimox Entertainment Inc.

Mr Ngodoro, who is known in the local music-video circle as Riro Nimox, said they have completed the shooting on Saturday and have been spending the remaining days and nights editing the footages.

He said there are 10 songs in the DVD album, including songs from the popular names like Tcage, Jungle Juice and others.

He said the songs varied from different languages in the country.

“It will be more exciting and fans expect something different from this album. We also included amazing aerial shots and I can assure that fans will enjoy,” Nimox told Island Sun.

He said the songs are recorded in studios in Gizo, notably at Jzone studio as well as in Honiara such as ThirdWorld Production, Shefram studio and others.

Nimox said Gizo Mix released its first mis in early 2009, and has grown and become popular in Solomon Islands and abroad. He said the DVD was shot mostly around Gizo and nearby beautiful islands in Western Province.

He said DVDs will be distributed to MM shop at Taro, Chacha Shop at Noro, Chao store at Munda, and in Honiara fans can get their copies at KK Mart and JX store in Point Cruz.

The copies will be available in Honiara by Thursday, and fans wishing to crab a copy can contact Karl Vaekesa on Mobile 7622861.

Nimox has highly acknowledged the Western Provincial Government for sponsoring the 10th DVD album.

“I must thank the provincial government for recognising us, and more importantly support the musicians.”

He said some of the contributors to the DVD are students and were happy to be given cash amount of $500 to cater for their needs, and or sea fares back to school.
