Auki public praise police on second capture
AUKI public are in praise of the RSIPF over its operation which led to the capture of the second suspect in the Easter LGZ killings.
On Sunday, the second suspect was apprehended in the early hours at his home village of Fourere, north Malaita.
The news of the capture has stirred much gratitude in the hearts of many people in Auki, who have come out to express their relief and happiness over the police’s efficiency at catching the suspects.
They said this after witnessing the arrival of the second suspect at the Auki police station on Sunday night.
This paper understands that operation into the second capture had led to the inconspicuous presence of PRT members in Auki for a week.
It is also believed that the second suspect had managed to elude previous attempts to catch him.
Grateful public say it is a comfort that our police is seen as having the means to tackle sophisticated crimes in the country.
