THE new Bishop-Elect of the United Church for Lauru Region Reverend Amos Kube of Bangara village Northwest Choiseul will be ordained on Wednesday January 11, 2017.

According to Nerio Ulemiki, the media coordinator for Christ the King parish at Voruvoru Northwest Choiseul, the new Bishop-Elect will be taking up the post as Bishop from the former incumbent Bishop Jacob Qalorusa.

A sixty member delegation of the United Church which includes the Moderator of the United Church of Solomon Islands will arrive for the ordination on Tuesday January 10, prior to the ordination day.

Mr Ulemiki elaborated that the new Bishop-Elect’s family will be responsible for refreshments and the feast during the ordination celebration.

They will also be supported by the Bangara Community.
