Rugby 7’s set for this Saturday

A Rugby seven’s tournament will kick off on Saturday organized by the Honiara Rugby Union Association (HRUA) at the Town Ground Stadium.
HRUA confirmed to Sun Sport, that they will be hosting a rugby-sevens tournament starting at 9am purposely for clubs, and is open to any interest clubs in Honiara.
The competition will be sponsored by the Coral Sea Resort and Casino under the leadership of its General Manager Mr Harry Steward.
The President of HRUA, Mr Carlwyn Tengemoana said the tournament is a hugely anticipated event and will be organised for the whole day.
Mr Tengemoana is calling on rugby lovers in the city to avail their time and support the tournament peacefully and with sportsmanship.
President Tengemoana thanked the Coral Sea Resort and Casino for being the major sponsor as well as the Solomon Islands Rigby Union Federation for allowing the venue.
He pointed-out that such support shows the interests there is for developing rugby as a sports in the country saying it is a pleasure for having the faith on HRUA to move the event forward.
