WEST Honiara Constituency is looking at engaging up to 15 communities in its Feeder Road Project this year.

Constituency Development Officer of West Honiara Constituency made the announcement when talking to the media yesterday.

Mr Brian Taupiri said West Honiara Constituency has applied for the project and that the application is currently with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development.

He said five communities have been awarded with the project this year with 10 more communities expecting to join the programme later this year.

Mr Taupiri said West Honiara Constituency Officer is currently identifying communities that are eligible for the project.

“We’ve applied for 3.5 million for these project and hoping to get positive respond from the government.

“This project is very important to West Honiara communities as road service are vital,” he said

Mr Taupiri said part of the fund has been proposed to establish and assist family commercial transportation to help families raise money for their kids.
