Fisheries in East Malaita to be revived

The fisheries building at Adakoa
EAST Malaita region will soon revive the fisheries industry at Adakoa for the whole of eastern region of Malaita.
The provincial ward member for 16 in east Malaita Hon Finley Fiumae reveals this to Island Sun Auki in an interview.
He said since its establishment in the late 90s and towards early 2000 the fishery station at Adakoa really helped the fishing industry in that region.
“Currently the generator at the station is still working on well but only the gases for the two (2) brains used to frozen the blocks are not working.
“We will replace those gases for the brains to continue on in order to support the industry in East Malaita.”
“I believe the industry is one of the main sources of income for my people in east Malaita.
“The station also provides blocks in a cheaper price for fishermen for their eskies to do their marketing either in Auki or Honiara.”
“I will try my best to provide for this industry to be revived during my term in office.”
