CIP citizens applaud JANUS over Tulagi Hospital project arrest
CITIZENS of Central Islands Province (CIP) appreciate the JANUS operation in arresting Mr Tigi Sikele over allegations of defrauding health fund approved for the Tulaghi Hospital extension project.
Mr Sikele who is a builder from Malaita province has been charged for defrauding the health fund of more than USD86,000. That is more than 500,000 Solomon dollars.
The fund was part of the approved funding for the Tulaghi Hospital extension project.
According to source from the Ngella Forum (social media), he left some years ago after just winning the tender for the construction of the project which saw the project now incomplete.
The incomplete building from the concerns of the CIP citizens should have been a blessing to the people as it would cater for the many services the hospital needs to provide.
CIP citizens would like to thank the JANUS team to ensure that justice is done.
They said it also ensures that such practices must never happen again.
