Taiwan releases new funding assistances for various causes in SI

THE Republic of China (Taiwan) has again come to the aid of Solomon Islands by providing funding towards various causes in Solomon Islands. 7.9 Magnitude earthquake damages 30 houses at Shortland

THE 7.9 Magnitude earthquake in New Ireland Province of Papua New Guinea has caused 30 houses in Maleai village, Shortland Islands, partly damaged. According to the Solomon Islands National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) report, the damage has resulted in most occupants currently sheltering with relatives. Dash-8 to return on Dec 21

SOLOMON Airlines has advised its Dash-8 aircraft is scheduled to return to full service on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. The aircraft has been temporarily out of service since last week while urgently required spare parts were being sourced from overseas.
