SDA church hailed for contribution in education
THE Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) has been praised for its contribution to the development of human resources in the Western Province and the nation at large.
“In the field of education, the SDA Church has contributed a lot to the development of our province and the nation’s human resources development in every fields of life.
“Our young people rallied to Adventist institutions for education,” said Western Province Premier, Wayne Maepio when addressing a Dorcas congress at Bekabeka Adventist High School in the Marovo Lagoon over the weekend.
He said many schools were built by the church to cater for the high demand of Christian education.
“Likewise also in the field of medicine, clinics and hospitals were built by the church to cater for medical needs of the people in this province and the nation.
“As head of the Government in this province, I want to thank the Seventh Day Adventist Church and its leaders for the work well done,” he said.
The Dorcas congress included local and international delegates from Vanuatu who gathered at Bekabeka Adventist High School in the week-long programme which centered on the theme ‘Rekindle the Truth and Shine for Jesus.’
