PRIME Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare has paid tribute to what he described as the ‘steadfast support and contribution’ of the late wife of the Chief Justice, Sir Albert Rocky Palmer, towards the strengthening of the ‘good work’ of her husband in the judiciary.

In a condolence message to Sir Albert and his children, grandchildren and relatives over the national broadcaster SIBC yesterday, the Prime Minister said:

“It is with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of your dear wife, mother and grandmother – Lady Selina Aitorea Palmer.

“On behalf of the Democratic Coalition for Change Government, the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and my family I send our deepest condolences to you, your children and all your relatives at this difficult time.

“Your good wife would be remembered for her steadfast support and contributions to the strengthening of your good work in our judicial system.

The Prime Minister added that, “As you mourn the demise of your dear wife, please be assured that our thoughts and prayers are with you, your children and relatives at this time of bereavement.

“The Lord as the creator of life gives and takes away life. May her soul rest in peace with our good Lord.”
