THE Noro Town rubbish dumpsite is one of the main priorities for the Noro Town Council (NTC) to deal with.

NTC Clerk Mr David Mamupio confirmed and assured this during a recent site visit with the Provincial Executive Government of Western Province in and out of the Tuna Town.

Recently, the rubbish dumpsite has raised concerns by locals because of its location beside the highway road leading to Munda Station saying that it is not good for such a sight to be seen at the main entrance for travelling in and out of the town.

They added that the unhygienic environment and bad odour it produces is just unacceptable.

Concern locals over this sight assume that the site for the rubbish dump should be re-located elsewhere far from the town.

“The rubbish dumpsite continues to be stack piled with rubbish and a lot of rubbish is rolling out to the main road which gives a very bad sight,” raised concern locals.
