Young MPA says personal dream come true
HON Brad Lesley Pugeva has been appointed as new Minister of Works, Health and Medical Services for Rennell and Bellona province.
Hon Pugeva took his Oath in front of Premier Collin Singamoana, Speaker Mr Brian Saoba and other Executive members of Renbel Province at the Ministry of Provincial Government yesterday.
In his speech, Premier Singamoana welcomed Hon Pugeva to the Rennell and Bellona provincial government.
He said Hon Pugeva’s decision to join the government comes from his concern for the people of Renbel and not from the current government.
“My government believes that your decision to become one of our executive members is because of your concern for our people in Renbel Province.
“It hard to get a decision in a very short period of time but I thank you for your decision to join the government from the back benchers,” he said.
Premier Singamoana said his government will work alongside Hon Pugeva in achieving development aspirations and also most needed services for the people of Renbel Province.
Hon Pugeva assures Premier Singamoana that he is willing and ready to take up the new responsibility.
He said his appointment was a dream come true for him and he is happy to join the government.
Hon Pugeva stressed that his priority at hand is to work with Renbel Provincial Executive to improve service delivery especially in the department of Works, Health and Medical.
He acknowledged Premier Singamoana and his Executive for having the confidence in him to take Ministerial portfolio.
Hon Pugeva also acknowledges people of Bellona Ward 7, supporters and non-supporters as well as his friends for mentoring him since he took up the leadership role.
“Being a leader is a difficult task and as a new comer in this leadership role I need time, support and advises from people of every level to assist me in delivering expected development and services needed,” he said.
Hon Pugeva calls on people of Ward 7 in Bellona to work together for the good of the people and the province.
He said cooperation is a very important component to achieve expected developments.
Hon Brad is an exceptional young person who has proven his leadership qualities so far for his ward 7 of Matangi, East Bellona.
