High Schools Rugby 7s returns this Easter

THE annual High schools Easter rugby 7s competition will continue this Easter.

Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) in a statement invites all High schools that participated last year as well as other high schools that wish to participate this year to confirm their participation to SIRUF Office at Town Ground.

“Competition will have two categories for boys; the junior category and the senior Category. The champions for last year are St John’s in the Junior category and Selwyn College won the Senior category.”

SIRUF said invitation Letters will be distributed to schools very soon.

“Each school will have to register two teams of 12 players. For this year, schools wish to participate must have to a sign a Participation Agreement which will includes the Code of Conduct that will help to safe guide and keeping the running of the competitions smoothly as well as to avoid non registered students from participation.

This year we expect tougher competition and believe that all the school have started preparing for this year’s 7s. The 2017 Credit Corp High school 15s will follow a week after the Easter High School 7s.

“For more information on the High Schools Sevens Competition just call in our office or Call Augustine Mafuara on Phone 8731843, office number – 20150,” it says.
