Congratulations Naomi Tai! A deserving achiever
NAOMI Tai is a young member of the local YWCA and who works in the administration section of the PWDSI.
Most recently, Naomi was selected out of 800 applicants to attend the upcoming Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland, from 1 June to 13 June 2017.
Naomi will also be the representative of the YWCA at the Youth Forum, also taking place in Geneva.
As it will be the first time for Naomi to travel outside the Solomons, the YWCA has been busy briefing her on what to expect while travelling and during her stay in Switzerland.
On returning home, Naomi will be at the forefront of the YWCA’s advancement and advisory programme for women and young girls with special needs.
The theme of the upcoming programme for 2017 will be ‘We celebrate our Leadership and We Rise Up.’
I am sure all will wish Naomi well and that she will enjoy and benefit from her overseas trip as a representative of the Solomon Islands on the global stage.
Likewise, the YWCA is wished success with its planned activities aimed at aiding those women and girls in Solomon’s society needing a helping hand.
Yours sincerely
