Call to reinstate George Kosui as PS
MEMBER of Indigenous Chamber of Commerce and Trade (ICCT) has called on the government to reinstate Mr George Kosui as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Labour and Immigration.
Speaking to this paper Mr Star Dora said investigation into allegations against Mr Kosui proved nothing serious and that Mr Kosui should be reinstated.
He said the absence of Mr Kosui has caused major setback to investors especially the indigenous people of Solomon Islands who are striving for business excellence in the country.
Mr Dora said there are important documents still pending at the Ministry awaiting responsible officers to sign as a result of Mr Kosui’s suspension.
He said some of the documents need swift action and that the setback needs prompt response from government.
Mr Dora continues to say that Mr Kosui is smart and instrumental in his job as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
He said the indigenous people have fully supported Mr Kosui with his type of service delivery.
Mr Dora calls on the government and the Public Service Commission to act quickly and address that issue.
Mr George Kosui was put on indefinite suspension for having been involved in a traffic accident last year.
