A near sinking vessel will be without crews

DEAR EDITOR, thank you for publishing this letter which is responding to the article written by the dental officer for Buala Hospital on February 14, 2017.

In this letter, we want to clarify two things and they are dental officer’s doubt over the issue of lack of respect to the hospital properties and gender inequality in the hospital administrative positions.

Before further elaboration on the above, firstly we want to inform the dental officer that our published articles were of national interest and ideas were collectively acquired following consultation with the hospital staff, communities within and around Buala Hospital and the province as a whole.

We have proven evidences to support our points and issues, thus your article stating that we haven’t got background information to most of the issues raised was a self reliance propaganda to accommodate and satisfy your own fail imaginary dreams.

We agreed with you in one of your paragraphs, it says explanations and answers can be easily given should you see relevant officers.

Indeed we the majority of the hospital staff, believe having regular meeting regarding the hospital & staff is the right path to raise our grave concerns however, the admin which is the responsible authority fails to provide such avenues for us to discuss our issues.

To date, the hospital admin did not host any meeting for the whole of last year.

Therefore, Mr Boss man, it is only the different route that we take but the destination is always the same.

Our concerns are long neglected issues and out of frustration we raised them in media expecting you and your comrades to address them accordingly.

Lack of respect to the hospital properties

We the majority of the hospital staff shared a same sympathy with the patients, as your call for explanation to why you are using the clinic for leisure purposes, why do you spend your holiday in the clinic, and why are you holding on to the clinic key while you are on leave couldn’t be justified.

The previous article stated lack of respect to the hospital properties is true and it’s real. It particularly refers to your conducts and directly indicating an act of abuse to the hospital premises by you in further extent.

In addition, Mr boss man, the issue of using the clinic for leisure purposes under air-conditioned room also contributes to the escalating electricity bills of the hospital.

The hospital premises should be respected at all odds and thus not at any one time an officer is allowed to please him/her self unless it is his/hers own property.

The rest of the hospital staff who were holding on to their clinic/office keys usually left theirs in the hospital before they went on for leave and this keep the services going.

Gender inequality

The issue of gender inequality should not be entertained just like you wish to conceal your fiascos and negligence to duties.

We haven’t got any issues relating to the work of the hospital secretary, the accountant and the director of nursing.

Regardless of any gender, whether female or male, holding on to the above positions is not a matter of concern so long they know their roles and satisfactory performed their jobs accordingly.

All we want is to have a new officer for the PHD position in Buala Hospital, and this is no way near associate with other officers/offices that you have been preaching in your article.

Your gender base issue gave us impeccable evidence telling us that you are one of the heroes who encourage gender inequality in this hospital.

The eager for a new provincial health director in Buala Hospital is a long-standing need for the hospital and the judgment is focused on performance merits, and not on gender quantities.

The acting PHD has been under performed in many diverse issues to count and the end product of her leadership is you see division among the staff members. In the morrow of this prodigious catastrophe, we are now all divided and loose.

Unless we let her failures get the better of us, we will not go far and the vessel will sink.
