YOUTHS from the youth @work office in Auki have gone through two days of small business training which ended yesterday in the provincial township.

Speaking to this paper yesterday, Youth @work team member Ms Francisca Wale said, the youths have gone through book keeping training, money management, poultry and piggery management trainings.

These youths have also gone through a six months training and field work with the youth @work officers in some of the communities around Auki.

Until today they are small business entrepreneurs from the trainings they have gone through over the past six months.

They also filled in forms to open bank accounts with Bank of South Pacific (BSP) with an aim to create savings when running their business.

“I believe these youths are well equipped with more business ideas and information provided by the youth @work office here in Auki.

Ms Wale called on youths who have no chance of going further in their education to come forward to join youth @ work’s programmes and activities.

“Youth @ work will provide information and ideas for youths, especially to create economic opportunities for the hopeless youths in our communities.
