Wagina Catholic Parish celebrates new church building

A dedication ceremony marking the opening of a new church building (“Sacred Heart of Jesus”) took place yesterday at Wagina Catholic parish, Choiseul Province. The new church building was dedicated and opened by the Emeritus Archbishop of Honiara His Grace Bishop Adrian Thomas Smith being assisted by Bishop Luciano Capelli of the Gizo Diocese. Logging machines burned

GIZO Police Operation Officers have arrested three suspects for allegedly burning down a bulldozer machine at Palepale, South Vella Island in the Western Province. The incident happened at Palepale logging Camp on Thursday. AFL trainings this week

SOLOMON Islands Australian Football League (SIAFL) Development Officers will continue to conduct two women-only training sessions on Monday and Wednesday nights this week. The trainings will be held on Mondays at Multi-Purpose Hall from 4pm to 5pm and Wednesday at SINU Kukum Sports Field from 4.30-6.00pm.
